In 1861, Auguste is working in his brother's dry goods business and has moved to 389 N. Clairborne.

After returning from the Civil War, Auguste was a salesman (1872) living at 593 N. Claiborne.

In 1879 and 1881, Auguste is a clerk living at 506 N. Claiborne.
