In the 1870 census of Creek Twp, DeWitt Co., IL, "Christiana Smallwood", 46, was living with children William Kistler, 23, Hannah Kistler, 18, Mary Kistler, 16, and Sarah Kistler, 11.  Also living with her was her daughter Jane Smallwood, 5, and a John Kissler, 15 (possibly a nephew?).  Christena was born in OH, all of her children except Sarah were born in IN.  Sarah and Jane were born in IL.  John Kissler was born in IN.  John's son from his previous marriage, Corwin, was living with the John D. Grady family, possibly as a farm hand.
