From "The Prichard Family" genealogy:
A man of high moral character, a kind and forgiving spirit, a man of few words, prompt in all things and honest to the limit, by persistent industry and excellent business judgement, he occupied an enviable position among his fellowmen by whom he was universally esteemed. Being successful in his own business affairs, he was generous in giving assistance to every enterprise that enhanced the public welfare, and every charitable object found in him a friend. He was successful in his life's work, owning at the time of his death 800 acres of land in Jasper county.
He was a very large man, typical of the Pritchard build; a magnificent specimen of physical manhood. His largeness of stature only indicated his largeness of heart. |
