During the Mexican war in 1846, David Prichard drilled a company of militia but was not called to actual service. He received his uniform and sword, and the sword he used is now in possession of his son, Daniel Prichard. He was a prosperous farmer and a generous neighbor; was strictly upright in all of his dealings. In the 1850 census of Nineveh Twp, Johnson Co., IN, David (46) is living with his wife Cynthia Ann (41), son Durham (19), son David A. (16), son Daniel (13), and son Robert W. (8). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
