My grandfather was Felix Balthazar Bernard DuMontier, born in New Orleans on April 29, 1885, on April 15, 1918 in New Orleans he married Marguerite Chaussard, born in New Orleans on July 30, 1887. They had 4 children: Felix Bernard DuMontier, Marguerite Bernard DuMontier, Rosalie Bernard DuMontier (my mother), and Valsin Bernard DuMontier. Information I have follows your information until the union of Felix Balthazar Bernard-DuMontier and Marie Delphine Dardenne. My information shows that one of their children was named Louis Auguste Balthazar, born in New Orleans on September 27, 1854, married Mary Deegian (could also be DeJean), born September 27, 1861. My grandfather was a child of this marriage. Your records do not indicate Louis Auguste as a child of Felix DuMontier and Marie Dardenne. I've found a similar discrepancy in another DuMontier genealogy search. Do you have any idea who the parents of Louis Auguste Bernard DuMontier were? Thank you for your assistance. |
